Blenheim Class
About Our Class

Miss Frost
We are delighted to welcome you to Blenheim Class!
As a brief background on who we are, I am Juliet Frost and I feel privileged to be the class teacher. In our dream team, we will also have Roxy Francis and Sam Crouch, both highly experienced and wonderful teaching assistants!
By way of an introduction, I wanted to share a little of our motivation: we are passionate about creating environments in which people can truly thrive. As a class teacher at Churchill, I aim to root my teaching in a strength-based, ‘no barriers’ approach, encouraging students to use their own interests as a springboard for building invaluable skills such as communication, problem solving and life skills, creative and critical thinking skills. Together, we will also explore curriculum topics, fostering curiosity and confidence along the way. Please see the overview for the main topics that we aim to cover this year.
Our goal is that every student in Blenheim will discover and build on their individual interests and strengths, while also exploring new ideas and perspectives. As a group, we will be engaging with thought-provoking topics – encouraging pupils to reflect on the world around them and the values that shape us.
Alongside academic learning, we place a strong emphasis on wellbeing and personal development. Throughout the timetable, pupils will have opportunities to deepen their understanding of emotions, learn strategies for emotional regulation, and explore ways of thinking that promote resilience. We will be focusing on identifying helpful coping strategies, so that pupils feel better equipped to manage challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
Our aim is to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and capable of success. We are very much looking forward to working with your child and helping them to achieve their potential.
Our Timetable
Each day starts with meeting time where the visual timetable is shared. It provides an opportunity for the class to be altogether and discuss the day ahead. Each week consists of 5 lessons a day, each 1 hour long, followed by enrichment on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. During enrichment time on a Tuesday, the class focus their learning on RSHE/careers. Wednesday allows students to develop their independence and Thursday provides the students with an array of different enrichment experiences. Blenheim class will access 2 hours of PE a week and will have a 30-minute swimming lesson every week at the local leisure centre. In addition, we will have structured outdoor learning every Wednesday afternoon.
