A former Haverhill student has spoken of his joy after landing a prestigious content creator award.
Harry Scarfe, who completed his GCSEs at Churchill School this year, was named a gold winner in last week’s Football Content Awards.
Harry, 16, won the ‘Best Young Content Creator’ category in recognition of his weekly podcasts on the Premier League and his beloved Tottenham Hotspur.
Harry said: “When they read my name out, it felt incredible to be honest. I had been to the awards for the last couple of years and winning one was always an ambition of mine.
“It was amazing just to be there with all these content creators that I really admire. So to win an award was just a pure shock and a fantastic feeling.
“One of the reasons I was nominated as a finalist was because I have used my platform to support and give opportunities to young people who are struggling or who have disabilities and I will continue to do this.”
Harry, who is autistic and has used his platform to raise awareness of the condition, revealed that he started the podcast three years ago as a way of helping him overcome his struggles at school.
What started out as a couple of football-inspired You Tube videos to show family and friends quickly grew to a popular platform that now has more than 10,000 followers across Harry’s social media channels.

Churchill ‘set me up for life’
Harry only had words of praise for his time at Churchill School who helped him achieve higher GCSE grades than he was expecting.
Harry, who is now studying digital media and content creation at Braintree College, said: “Before I joined Churchill, I struggled with school and fitting in. But I loved my time at Churchill so much.
“The school was really supportive of me and my studies and they set me up for life.”
